.: Help for retreat The retreat command backs away from melee combat to create distance. Usage: retreat Back away from all melee engagements Why Retreat? • Ranged weapons cannot be used in melee. If an enemy advances on you while you're using a bow or other ranged weapon, you must retreat before attacking. • Create distance before fleeing the room • Switch from melee to ranged combat style Important Notes: • You must be balanced to retreat • Retreating breaks melee with ALL current melee partners • After retreating, you remain in combat but at range • Enemies may advance back into melee after you retreat Balance Cost: • Players: 3 seconds • NPCs: 5 seconds (varies by creature) Tactical Uses: • Switch to ranged weapons after being caught in melee • Create distance before fleeing • Force enemies to spend time advancing again • Reposition during group combat See also: help combat, help advance, help ranged, help flee
